How It All Started
PMI was founded in 1986 with a mission to identify and provide specialty medical products that demonstrate proven advantages in overall cost effectiveness, efficiency and safety. Working from our original location in St. Louis, the idea quickly caught on with healthcare facilities across the US. Over the years, strong and steady growth lead to the establishment of strategically located distribution capabilities. Likewise, our clinically trained sales staff grew steadily, and now numbers more than 60 strong. Lead by a highly experienced sales, marketing and management team, PMI's growth lead to the establishment of a new, technologically advanced facility in St. Louis.
Today, PMI's fundamental mission remains much the same-to identify innovative new products that can improve the quality of patient healthcare. But PMI's current breadth of product line, nationwide distribution reach, and outstanding support operations make Progressive Medical an even stronger partner to manufacturers and, most importantly, to the healthcare providers we serve.
